Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to Share Custody of Children
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will have joint custody of their children, according to a judge’s recent ruling.
The former Hollywood super couple wed in 2014, but divorced in 2019. Since then, they have been locked in a private legal battle over their six children, which has turned bitter.
According to documents from the Second District Court of Appeal in California, USA, Judge John Ouderkirk declared that 57-year-old Pitt must get equal custody to 19-year-old Maddox, 17-year-old Pax, 16-year-old Zahara, 14-year-old Shiloh, and 12-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox, with Jolie.
Sources claim that the judge said on Wednesday, 26 May, that the customary order must be “modified” to increase the “Fight Club” star’s time with the children. Pitt is said to be “relieved” about the rulung.
Jolie, on the other hand, is of the opinion that the decision wasn’t made fairly and thinks there were “issues” with the court proceedings, such as denying the teenagers the right to have their say as evidence, as per state legislature regarding a trial of this nature.
A hearing in the California Appellate Court is expected 9 July.
