“Bridgerton” Star Talks James Bond Rumours

Rege-Jean Page has become the hot favourite to don the mantle of James Bond.

Rumours that the 31-year-old British actor could replace Daniel Craig in the role of Agent 007 began shortly after it was announced last Friday, 2 April, that the former would not reprise his role as Simon, Duke of Hastings in the Netflix series, “Bridgerton.”

Speaking to a UK media outlet on Tuesday, 6 April, Page sat down to talk about the Bond speculation.

He said: “Ah, the B-word. I think that if you are British and you do anything of note, that other people take notice of, then people will start talking about that. I think that’s fairly normal, and I’m flattered to be in the category of Brits that people have noticed.”

However, upon being asked straight out if he truly is replacing Craig or not, Page was absolutely discreet.

He coyly replied: “Nothing more – or less – than that.”

As for Craig, his final turn as Bond will be in “No Time to Die”, which is scheduled for release this year.
