Celeb Twitter Round-Up: Kelly Khumalo Calls Out CemAir (and Gets Roasted)

The way celebs and influencers like to flaunt their holiday snaps on social media, you would think they NEVER have to deal with the hassles that come with air travel. You know, the usual issues like visa documentation, delayed/cancelled flights, long-as-heck layovers, etc.

Mind you, once they actually run into these troubles, they have to let EVERYONE know about it!

Kelly Khumalo is one such celeb who ran into some travel issues. In an old video clip that recently resurfaced, the “Asine” songstress is seen at an airport, standing before a CemAir counter and radiating absolute frustration as she rants:

“This is what we need to deal with: s*** service from CemAir,” Khumalo vents. “We miss our flight; when we are there, it’s not on screens, [and] they don’t even bother to send SMSes so that we don’t get to miss our flight! This is what we are dealing with. South Africa must never ever support this s***** airline!”

Strong words, indeed!

Over on Twitter/X, a few people were not impressed by Khumalo’s “woe is me” attitude and offered their own opinions on the matter:

As for the rest of Twitter/X, folks are convinced that this was the singer’s karma for her alleged involvement in the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.

(ICYDK, Meyiwa – Khumalo’s ex-boyfriend – was murdered at her Gauteng home in 2014. Since then, she has been hit with all sorts of allegations, from knowing and withholding the identity of the gunman who killed him, to being accused of pulling the trigger herself.)

As such, tweeps reckoned it was either the spirit of Meyiwa at work, or that CemAir also wants answers regarding his murder:

All in all, if Twitter/X is anything to go by, Kelly Khumalo has taken an L here in her battle against CemAir. Maybe she’d fare better if she directed her energies towards Eskom over their ever-rising prices? Maybe …?
