Chiefs, Bucs Both Eyeing Sundowns Star
Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are both apparently keen on signing the same Mamelodi Sundowns star.
According to reports, both Soweto-based clubs are interested in the services of 32-year-old midfielder, Andile Jali.
Jali previously played for Pirates between 2009 and 2014, helping them lift three trophies before making the move to Belgian outfit, K.V. Oostende. In 2018, he returned to South Africa, where he signed with Sundowns.
His contract ends at the end of the current Premier Soccer League (PSL) season, which means that his free agent status will allow him to sign a pre-contract with any club during the January transfer window.
However, if reports are anything to go by, Sundowns are looking to extend Jali’s contract, although this may change if the club receives a good offer from either Amakhosi, the Buccaneers or any other PSL outfit.
