Dembele Omitted From PSG’s UEFA Champions League Showdown

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) winger, Ousmane Dembele, has been excluded from the squad that will face Arsenal in their UEFA Champions League clash tonight, Tuesday 1 October.

Last Friday, 27 September, Dembele registered a crucial assist during PSG’s 3-1 victory over Stade Rennais.

However, per reports that emerged on Monday, 30 September, the 27-year-old Frenchman allegedly got into a “heated argument” with head coach Luis Enrique straight after the game.

While details of the argument have not been disclosed, it was enough for Enrique to put his foot down and omit Dembele from tonight’s line-up against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in London, England. It is not yet known if his exclusion is temporary or if it will be on a long-term basis.

To boost their chances in the match, PSG will need to rely on their other attacking options such as Fabian Ruiz, Joao Neves and returning midfielder, Vitinha, to fill the void left by Dembele.
