Erica Mena to Divorce Safaree Samuels

After two years of supposed marital bliss, Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels are heading for splitsville.

The “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star married the rapper in October 2019, and gave birth to their daughter, Safire, in February last year.

However, Mena filed for divorce last Friday, 21 May, at the Fayette County Superior Court in Fayetteville, Georgia – the news comes three weeks after the couple announced that they were expecting their second child.

According to the divorce documents, their marriage is “irretrievably broken”, and that there is “no hope of reconciliation.”

They also summarise Mena’s requests for the following: child support, exclusive use of the home they currently share, and that Samuels pay for her attorney’s fees.

Additionally, the 33-year-old television personality asked for primary physical custody of Safire, although she is willing to share joint legal custody with the 39-year-old “Sheesh” hitmaker.

Representatives for Mena and Samuels have not yet commented on the divorce reports.
