Gal Gadot: Joss Whedon “Threatened My Career”
Gal Gadot has spoken up on what it was like working with Joss Whedon.
Talking to an Israeli news outlet on Saturday, 8 May, the 36-year-old “Wonder Woman” star opened up about her strained experience with the 56-year-old director while filming “Justice League” in 2017.
Gadot claimed: “He kind of threatened my career and said if I did something, he would make my career miserable and I just took care of it instead.”
Allegations have been mounting against Whedon since July last year, first when Ray Fisher – who played Cyborg in “Justice League” – said that the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” creator was “gross, abusive, [and] unprofessional.”
Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia Chase on “Buffy”, alleged that he “abused his power on numerous occasions” while working on the show.
Actors and actresses are not the only ones crying foul – Whedon’s ex-wife, Kai Cole, has claimed that his public persona and how he is in private are wildly different, accusing him of being a hypocrite who “preaches feminist ideals”.
Whedon has yet to respond to the claims.
