Hlanti: Chiefs Are “Well Prepared” for Sundowns
Kaizer Chiefs left-back, S’fiso Hlanti, is back from suspension, and he’s determined to help his team chalk up a win over Mamelodi Sundowns.
Amakhosi are set to clash with the Brazilians tomorrow night, 21 January, at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. Suffice to say, they’ve got their work cut out for them – they’ve lost their last two games against AmaZulu FC and Sekhukhune United.
As for Sundowns, they’ve angling to win their 12th consecutive Premier League Soccer game.
But Hlanti – returning from a one-match suspension – is confident in Chiefs’ ability to take Sundowns down.
“Kaizer Chiefs is a brand itself, so it’s a challenge that needs us as players to be united and to respect the game of football itself,” he said in a recent pre-game interview. “It’s not going to be an easy one, but we are well prepared.
“We know that we need to collect as many points as we can,” Hlanti added, “but, if things don’t go the way we want, we need to accept it and move on even though it’s not easy. We need to stay together and be positive.”
