Hollywood Reacts to Anna Delvey’s Bold Competition Exit

Anna Delvey’s elimination from “Dancing with the Stars” sparked a wave of celebrity reactions, with her blunt remark that she learned “nothing” from the experience making headlines.

The 33-year-old con artist was eliminated on Tuesday, 24 September, during week two of the competition.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba expressed her surprise at Delvey’s comment: “That was dismissive not only of the opportunity she was given, of her wonderful and supportive partner Ezra [Sosa] in his debut season, but also of all of us who work on the show.”

Inaba went on to add that she believed Delvey’s lack of gratitude was a missed chance to change the narrative around her controversial persona.

Host Julianne Hough labelled the fashionista’s exit as “iconic” on Instagram, leaning into the viral moment with her humour. While some fans and celebrities agreed, others, like Perez Hilton, were critical of her involvement in the show.

Derek Hough, another judge on the show, shared his intrigue, admitting that Delvey remains an enigma even after her performances. He praised the show’s diverse cast, recognising how the convicted fraudster’s inclusion fuels curiosity, especially given the public’s fascination with true crime.
