Ioan Gruffudd Seeks Restraining Order Against Alice Evans

Ioan Gruffudd is seeking to obtain a restraining order against his estranged wife, actress Alice Evans, in response to her allegedly threatening behaviour.

The “Fantastic Four” star filed court documents at a Californian courthouse on Tuesday, 15 February, against Evans, to whom he was married for 14 years before filing for divorce in March last year.

According to Gruffudd in the documents, Evans “repeatedly told me between August 2020 and our separation on January 1, 2021 that if I left her, she would make false public accusations about me, sell false stories about me to the press, and destroy me and my career.”

These include accusing the 48-year-old Welsh actor of being a drug addict, a wife-beater, and causing harm to their two daughters, 12-year-old Ella and eight-year-old Elsie, among other alleged threats.

In addition to allegedly inundating Gruffudd with harassing emails, videos and text messages – including one directed at his girlfriend, Bianca Wallace, about potentially sabotaging his career – the 53-year-old actress also threatened to “do to me what Amber Heard did to Johnny Depp.”

It remains to be seen if Gruffudd – and Wallace, by extension – will be granted the restraining order against Evans, who has denied all allegations levelled against her.
