Man United Making Moves on Benfica Striker
Manchester United are already looking to the upcoming January transfer window as they target Benfica striker, Goncalo Ramos.
According to reports, United coach Erik ten Hag is keen on making the swoop for the 21-year-old Portuguese international, who is making waves on his home soil: so far this season, he has scored eight goals in 12 matches for the Lisbon-based outfit.
By Benfica’s estimations, Ramos is worth £25 million, and United are ready to pay more or less (but not above) that figure for his signature so that they can strengthen their attacking options.
The club has apparently already made contact with Ramos’ representatives to negotiate a possible transfer deal.
However, the Red Devils aren’t the only ones who are hankering after the striker’s services: Newcastle United and Bayern Munich have both got him on their radars, if rumours are anything to go by.
The transfer window opens at midnight on 1 January for the English Premier League – only then will it be seen if Ramos will make the move, or stay put at Benfica.
