Man United Suffer Heartbreaking, Last-Minute 4-3 Loss

To say things are getting worrisome for Manchester United is to imply that three consecutive losses in a row aren’t bothering coach Erik ten Hag, but they are, and last night’s 4-3 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich are sounding off the alarm bells.

The crowds at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany were treated to an exciting UEFA Champions League match on Wednesday night, 20 September.

The Bavarians were in control of the first half and took the lead on the scoreboard as forward Leroy Sane sank a goal at the 28th-minute mark – his team-mate Serge Gnabry adding another just four minutes later.

Come the second half, the Red Devils’ Rasmus Hojlund gave his side a sigh of relief by scoring after four minutes had elapsed.

However, Harry Kane set the Germans 3-1 with a penalty at the 53rd-minute mark, leaving the rest of the match lop-sided, even as midfielder Casemiro peeled one back for United with two minutes left until extra time.

Extra time saw two more goals, but Mathys Tel made sure his side remained in the lead, despite a valiant effort from Casemiro adding another goal for the visitors – the final whistle saw 4-3 as the score.

Despite the result, Ten Hag remained optimistic: “We have to believe we can bounce back, tonight we showed it. You have to stay in the game and keep going despite mistakes.”
