Minnie Dlamini Faces Spousal Maintenance Dispute
Actress and television presenter Minnie Dlamini seems to have gotten herself into a pickle with her ex, Quinton Jones, regarding child custody and support payments.
An unnamed insider purportedly spoke with a local publication today, Monday 18 September, revealing that Jones is allegedly demanding R10 000 a month in child support from Dlamini, as well as full custody of their child.
The couple – who announced their divorce in 2022 after four years of marriage – share a three-year-old son named Netha Jones.
The source also went on to reveal that the 33-year-old actress has lawyered up and was ready to fight the custody battle to the best of her abilities.
“She will never let it happen,” the insider reportedly said.
Although she hasn’t openly discussed the topic with the media, it seems like the dispute has been weighing heavily on Dlamini, who shared a picture of herself enjoying quality time with her son via Instagram stories last Thursday, 14 September.
“Imagine being someone trying to take a baby from its mother,” she captioned the photograph.
Tweeps have responded to the news with mixed reactions, with some pushing for the former couple to consider a shared agreement, while others were eager to take sides and argue on behalf of the pair.
