Mzansi Amapiano Duo TxC Heading to the World Cup

Amapiano duo TxC will be joining 250 artists from around the globe to perform at the FIFA World Cup festivities this weekend in Doha, Qatar, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Mzansi pair will be joining the likes of rapper Lil Baby from America, singer Suspect 95 from Côte d’Ivoire, and hip hop artist Slapdee from Zambia on Saturday, 3 December. The international collective will be performing at the BUD World Club, in Doha.

The next day, TxC will be jet-setting off to perform at the renowned Dubai Harbour, for the Budx Fifa Fan Festival.

When the line-up was first announced, the pair spoke with several local publications, saying: “We’ve worked so hard for this moment, and we hope that our fans are similarly inspired to take their own journey towards seizing greatness and pursuing their dreams. 

“It’s all possible! This is such an exciting time for us, and we’re going to make South Africa proud,” they added.

Thomas Lawrence, a marketing manager at Budweiser SA, seemed equally excited about the opportunity, and commented: “TxC have defied the naysayers to follow their own path to greatness and embody the idea that ‘the world is yours to take’.”
