Mzansi Hip Hop Kings to Tour Africa Together
Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest, two of the biggest names in the South African Hip Hop circuit, have announced that they will be touring the African continent later this year together.
The joint “African Throne” tour will see the multi-award-winning rappers visit Tanzania, Ghana, Zambia, Nigeria, Namibia, Botswana, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Ivory Coast, eSwatini, South Africa and Mozambique in what has been dubbed as a “African hip-hop celebration”.
Curiously, the pair have also decided to include the United Arab Emirates on their tour.
“I’m super proud and excited to bring you this experience with the one and only Mufasa,” Nasty C, whose real name is Nsikayesizwe Ngcobo, said via Instagram on Wednesday, 31 May.
Nyovest, who is known privately as Refiloe Phoolo, added his own post hyping up the tour a few hours later: “Be scared. Me and [my] bro @nasty_csa going on tour together!! Can anybody say hip-hop?”
While neither artist mentioned when the tour would officially start nor when tickets would be available, they have revealed that the South African leg of the tour will include Cape Town, Western Cape, as well as Durban, KwaZulu Natal and Johannesburg, Gauteng.
