Natalie Dormer Discusses New Mzansi Thriller

Natalie Dormer has raved about her experience filming a new South African crime thriller miniseries in Cape Town.

Speaking with a local publication on Sunday, 24 March, the 42-year-old British actress discussed her latest character: investigative journalist Edie Hansen in “White Lies”.

During the interview, Dormer also highlighted the skills of her co-star, South African actor Brendan Daniels, who plays Detective Forty Bell.

“There were so many good killer scenes just because of the dramatic nature of the show, and it was a great ensemble cast. I have great affection for my scenes with Brendan Daniels. He’s a fantastic actor, and playing that relationship of Forty and Edie, and the way it grows was really just a joy,” the actress said during her tell-all interview.

The two thespians have worked together on the television show since March last year, giving Dormer plenty of time to explore South Africa. The “Game of Thrones” starlet went on to explain how she had enjoyed visiting the Little Karoo and Sanbona Wildlife Reserve during her time in the country.

The eight-part series premiered on M-Net on 7 March, with new episodes released every Thursday evening.
