Paratici Wants Harry Kane to Stay with Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur’s new managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, is keen on keeping Harry Kane at the club.
According to reports in May, Kane is said to be frustrated by the Spurs’ lack of progress this season, as well as their not winning any major silverware since his signing with the side in 2008.
Since then, other clubs including Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been angling for the 27-year-old English forward’s signature.
However, while speaking to an Italian sports outlet on Monday, 5 July, Paratici reiterated the Spurs’ desire to keep Kane due to his exceptional talent.
Paratici explained: “Keeping him is not just my goal, it’s our goal as a club … He’s one of the best strikers in the world. He’s a complete player, really special. His physique is that of a real number nine, a true poacher, but he also has an incredibly refined technique.”
Kane is currently on national duty for England as they partake in the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship – afterwards, he is expected to make a decision on his future.
