Perfect Banana Fritters
Banana fritters are not only a delicious dessert, but they are so easy, because you only need four ingredients to make them! This recipe will make 20 – 24 fritters.
3 ripe bananas
1 tsp sugar
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 pinch salt
You will also need some oil for frying your fritters.
In a bowl, mash the bananas, and then mix them well with the salt, sugar, and cornmeal.
Heat the oil in a deep pan until it’s hot enough to deep fry the fritters. You’ll know it’s ready when you sprinkle a water droplet into the pan and the oil spatters.
Use a large spoon to scoop some banana mixture into the oil.
Fry the fritters, turning often, until lightly golden in colour.
Remove the fritters from the pan with a slotted spoon or some tongs and place onto some paper towels to absorb the oil.
