Siyabonga Ngezana Bags Top Award
Former Kaizer Chiefs defender, Siyabonga Ngezana, has received a major international soccer award.
In 2023, Ngezana moved from Amakhosi to Romanian outfit, Fotbal Club FCSB, where he has established himself as a top performer. Since then, he has helped FCSB win both the Liga 1 and Supercupa României championships.
Earlier this week, the 27-year-old player was named SuperLiga Defender of the Season by Romanian football publication, “Fanatik”. He was presented with the award at a subsequent ceremony.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity, it seems like my Christmas present came early,” said Ngezana in his acceptance speech.
“It’s very important before I leave the stage to mention the people who played a huge role in my career – first of all, I just want to say thank You, God, for the opportunity to stand before you, and I thank my family for giving me an opportunity to come to Romania to come and express my talent.”
Congratulations to Siyabonga Ngezana on this amazing accomplishment!
