Siyabonga Ngezana Bids Farewell to Amakhosi
Siyabonga Ngezana admits he had “mixed emotions” following his decision to leave Kaizer Chiefs.
Last Thursday, 15 June, it was revealed that the 25-year-old defender would be making an overseas move to Romanian Lige 1 side, Fotbal Club FCSB, for an undisclosed fee.
In a recent post on Instagram, Ngezana expressed his emotions about leaving Amakhosi, for whom he has played since 2017.
“I had many mixed emotions about the decision I took for my future,” he wrote. “This has been the toughest decision I’ve taken for me and my family. But I always envisaged leaving on the right terms in the right way and at the right time and that is now.
“Growing up supporting this team, it was a dream come true to be a part of it. The experiences of highs and lows created great memories of brotherhood.”
Thanking the club’s staff and fans for all their guidance and support over the years, Ngezena concluded: “Wish the club to get back to its glory days and best of luck in the coming season, and I will always be a supporter of AMAKHOSI 4LIFE [sic].”
