Tems Shares Release Date for New Single

Nigerian singer Tems has announced that her latest single, “Love Me Jeje”, will be released this Friday, 26 April.

The 28-year-old musician – who is privately known as Temilade Openiyi – shared the news via Twitter yesterday, Monday 22 April. The single is the first to be shared from her upcoming debut album, “Born In The Wild”, which is slated to be released in May.

Fans were quick to celebrate the news, filling the comments section on Instagram with lyrics from the singer’s other popular songs. On Twitter, her followers took the opportunity to post humorous photographs pretending to be eagerly sitting and waiting for the release.

Little is known about the upcoming record, as Tems has remained relatively quiet about tantalising details like the release date, tracklist, or any details about collaborating artists.
Tems has timed her announcement to get maximum traction, as she’s just been making waves in America, where the singer performed at the Coachella festival last weekend.

During her performance at the popular music festival, Tems welcomed Wizkid and Justin Bieber on stage to perform their Billboard Hot 100 No. 9 hit single, “Essence”.
