Trey Songz Sued for Bar Blow-Up
Trey Songz has been accused of punching a bartender during a concert in May 2019.
According to the recently filed lawsuit, Songz was watching Cardi B perform at a Fashion Nova launch party at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California, when the alleged incident occurred.
After the “Na Na” hitmaker had jumped up onto the bar and sat down on it to watch the show, the bartender – who remains unidentified – subsequently informed him that this was against the venue’s policy.
Ignored by Songz, the bartender tried to get his attention by placing his hand on his back. This prompted the singer to turn around, punch him in the head, stare vacantly at the other bartenders in attendance, and continue watching the show.
The bartender is now seeking unspecified damages from the 36-year-old singer, citing physical pain, emotional and psychological injury as a result of the alleged attack.
This lawsuit comes four months after Songz was arrested in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was involved in a physical altercation with police officers during a National Football League game. No charges were filed against him.
