Unathi Nkayi Returns as BIMAs Host

Unathi Nkayi is once again set to host the Basadi in Music Awards (BIMAs) on 10 August.

Last year, the “Idols SA” judge and songstress hosted the BIMAs for the first time, and she received rave reviews for her presenting style.

Now, per a recent post from the BIMAs’ Instagram page, Nkayi will return to the Joburg Theatre in Johannesburg, Gauteng to help celebrate and honour the talented women in South Africa’s music industry for its third edition of the glamorous event.

“We are thrilled to have Unathi back as our host and eagerly anticipate another stellar performance,” said BIMAs CEO, Hloni Modise Matau. “The road to #Basadiinmusic2024 continues, and we look forward to celebrating the exceptional talent and achievements of South African women in music.”

Nkayi also gushed about returning to the illustrious awards ceremony for a second time.

“There’s magic that happens when you surround yourself with women chasing their dreams and breaking down barriers,” she said. “Being a part of the Basadi in Music Awards last year was truly special, and to be invited back as host fills me with an even deeper sense of joy. It is a chance to celebrate the journeys of these incredible artists who inspire me daily.”
