– Cody Rhodes is the cover star of the standard edition of “WWE 2K24”, which will be released on 8 March. It will feature new match types including a casket match, special guest referees and a 2K Showcase mode that centres around the 40-year history of WrestleMania.
– The Deluxe edition of “WWE 2K24” – which features wrestlers Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley on the cover – includes an additional MyRISE Mega-Boost, as well as alternative attire and MyFaction Evo cards for both cover stars. It will be released on 5 March.
– Riot Games, the studio behind “League of Legends” and “Valorant”, has laid off 11% (approximately 530) of its global workforce. It will also be shutting down its subsidiary, Riot Forge, after “Bandle Tale” is released on 21 February.
– Per CEO A. Dylan Jadeja’s email regarding these lay-offs (which was shared publicly on Riot Games’ website): “We’re not doing this to appease shareholders or to hit some quarterly earnings number – we’ve made this decision because it’s a necessity. It’s what we need to do in order to maintain a long-term focus for players.”
– Adam Badowski, the CEO of CD Projekt Red, says that they’re hoping to ramp up production on “The Witcher 4” this year. However, Badowski has assured that they will not be replacing employees who are working on the game with AI tools, which he says can “help improve certain processes in game production” instead.
