Zac Efron Hospitalised After Pool Dive Incident in Ibiza
Zac Efron recently experienced a health scare while on holiday in Ibiza, Spain.
The 36-year-old actor was hospitalised after a swimming pool dive went awry, causing him to hit the bottom of the pool and ingest water into his lungs.
The incident occurred early on the morning of Saturday, 3 August, while Efron was swimming with friends at a private villa. After the dive, he seemed out of sorts and was quickly assisted out of the water by nearby security.
Although briefly stunned, the “High School Musical” star was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure, where medical staff performed a chest X-ray to ensure no water remained in his lungs. After several hours, he was eventually discharged.
Despite being medically cleared, Efron chose to remain at the hospital until paparazzi had left the premises. The following day, he posted a reassuring message on Instagram, stating he was “happy and healthy,” alongside a photo of himself working out.
Efron has since returned to the United States of America, resuming his regular activities – he is currently involved in several upcoming film projects, including a remake of the 1987 comedy “Three Men and a Baby” for Disney+.
