Arsenal Get Ready to Host Everton

Arsenal welcome Everton to Emirates Stadium in London, England, with the aim of a record-extending 103rd top-flight win against the Toffees on Saturday, 14 December.

The Gunners, fresh from a 3-0 Champions League triumph over Monaco on Wednesday, 11 December, will hope to rebound domestically after dropping English Premier League (EPL) points against Fulham. Meanwhile, Everton arrive buoyed by a resounding 4-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, their best performance this season.

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, faces a selection headache with several defensive players sidelined with injuries. Gabriel Magalhães and Riccardo Calafiori remain out, while Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are long-term absentees. Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey featured midweek, easing concerns about their availability.

The Gunners’ stellar home performance, including three consecutive clean sheets, will be pivotal to the success of the match. They are currently sitting in third place on the EPL table with 29 points.

Everton, positioned 15th in the league rankings with 14 points, often struggle for consistency away from Goodison Park. Despite their recent success, Sean Dyche’s side have won just once on the road in 2024, and face a daunting task against a resilient host team.
