Bruno Fernandes Leads Man U Win Over Wolves

Manchester United received a boost to their fortunes when they scored a commanding 4-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, 8 December. Bruno Fernandes led the charge with a brace.

The 31-year-old midfielder – who rejected a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League last summer – has been central to United’s attacking output this season, contributing 10 of the team’s 26 English Premier League (EPL) goals this season. However, his mixed performances have coincided with the team’s inconsistent results.

Commentators noticed that while Fernandes has recently been playing out of position, often roaming across the pitch, he has made significant contributions to assists and goals. He scored the first goal of the game and successfully converted a penalty in the last moments of the game; while Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount added a goal apiece.

The victory at Molineux Stadium in Wolverhampton, England, has injected fresh life into a side that has been ailing with inconsistent performances, leaving them in a commendable sixth place on the EPL log with 25 points.

The key question now is whether this is the start of an improvement for coach Ruben Amorim and crew’s luck.

United’s upcoming challenge is taking on Bournemouth at home next Monday, 15 December.
