Celeb Twitter Round-Up: Twitter/X Confused by Toya Delazy’s “Afrorave” Clip

It’s been over a month since Toya Delazy got folks in a tizzy after she released the now-viral video of her going wild in a bubble bath to promote her single, “Nazo”. Now, she’s confusing the heck out of everyone with her latest clip.

Most recently, Delazy declared that she had invented a new genre of music dubbed “Afrorave”. She introduced the genre in a clip she uploaded to her Instagram account:

In the clip, she’s seen performing like a well-and-true raver, bustling in a club-crazy frenzy while being backed by a drummer. At the same, she gives the performance an Afro-tastic vibe with her vocals.

Over on Twitter/X, folks were bemused, to say the least … and highly critical, to say the most!

Many of the more cynical tweeps believe that Delazy is losing her marbles, if she hasn’t lost them already:

As such, there were mentions of substances that … well, you know:

Yup, very subtle, folks. Very subtle, indeed.

Perhaps the vibe would hit differently in a club or in concert – either way, it’ll be interesting to see how Toya Delazy fares as she continues to go down this Afrorave route!
