Clubs Scramble to Sign Leny Yoro
To say that Leny Yoro is a hot ticket item for the next transfer window is an understatement, especially after yet another club has shown interest in grabbing him the moment it becomes possible.
Liverpool is the latest team to show interest in signing up the 18-year-old Lille centre-back, but they will be competing against the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in order to get the youngster’s signature.
The Reds are keen on Yoro to bolster their defence as Joel Matip is looking to exit Anfield, while Real and PSG have both submitted unknown offers.
Of course, the in-demand French defender has a price-tag to match: his Ligue 1 club is looking to sell him for €90-€100 million, a major hurdle to cross for most clubs, especially during a time when purse strings are tight. Lille is feeling the financial pinch, hence their offloading of the young talent.
Yoro has made 45 Ligue 1 appearances and scored two goals, but his abilities have come to the forefront with many recognising his future potential.
