Declan Rice is the Belle of the EPL Ball

West Ham United captain Declan Rice appears to be a popular candidate for English Premier League clubs, several of which are currently circling the midfielder.

Both Manchester City and Arsenal have made themselves major contenders for the 24-year-old midfielder by Friday, 23 June, while Manchester United have also expressed their interest.

The Hammers have agreed to let their key player go in the mid-year transfer period, but have reportedly placed a £120-million price tag on Rice for a deal to be considered worthwhile. It’s understood that the club is also open to accepting £100 million, as well as another player in return.

Arsenal have already had two bids for the prized footballer rejected, with the first bid reported to have been around the £80-million mark while the second bid was rumoured to be closer to £90 million. However, reports suggest that the Gunners are undeterred and preparing for a third bid.

Currently, it seems unlikely that Man United will be a strong contender, as the Financial Fair Play rules will restrict them from spending an exorbitant amount on a single player.

Man City, on the other hand, are said to be offering a £100 million bid for Rice in an attempt to replace Ilkay Gundogan as he moves across the pond to Barcelona.
