Dwayne Johnson Back in “Fast & Furious” Franchise
The “Fast & Furious” family is welcoming back one of its own, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
He had previously played the role of Luke Hobbs in 2011’s “Fast Five”, and became a staple character although trouble was brewing behind the scenes.
Johnson hinted in a now-deleted Instagram post from 2016 that things weren’t all rosy on the set when he returned for the eighth film, “The Fate of the Furious” and it looked like he would be exiting the film series.
Since then, the 51-year-old “Black Adam” star has made vague comments about professionalism whenever his part in the franchise was brought up in interviews, which fans have theorised as referring to butting heads with the franchise’s frontman, Vin Diesel.
However, it seems the two Hollywood tough men have finally buried the hatchet.
On Thursday, 1 June, Johnson announced via Twitter that his character would return in the sequel to “Fast X”, where he made a brief cameo during a mid-credits scene.
“Last summer Vin and I put all the past behind us. We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve – and always take care of the franchise, characters and fans that we love,” he tweeted.
Buckle up fans, things are about to get exciting.
