Magesi FC Coach Announces Resignation
Magesi FC head coach, Clinton Larsen, has resigned.
Larsen revealed the news following his side’s 3-0 Carling Black Label Cup defeat to All-Stars Eleven at Orlando Stadium in Soweto, Gauteng on Saturday, 21 December.
“This is officially my last game with the team,” the 53-year-old tactician announced in a post-match interview. “I want to thank the players, the technical team, the supporters and, most importantly, the chairman for giving me an opportunity to lead the team for the last two years.”
He continued: “Time will tell how the players will take it. Some are going to be sad and others are going to be happy. But they are strong, and they will continue to make the club proud … I wish the club everything of the best going forward.”
Larsen – who notably led Magesi to championship gold after they won the Carling Knockout Cup last month – has yet to publicly disclose the specific reasons behind his departure.
Here’s hoping he will find success in his next venture!
