Sekhukhune Eyeing Bucs’ Fortune Makaringe
Sekhukhune United are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Orlando Pirates midfielder, Fortune Makaringe.
Speaking to a local soccer news outlet recently, sources indicated that Sekhukhune were keen on signing the 30-year-old player, who has scored 10 goals in only 39 appearances for the Buccaneers since joining them in 2019.
“You know [Sekhukhune] are playing in Africa and they want to strengthen the squad,” one source divulged, “and one of the players they want to bring in during the next transfer window period is Fortune.”
After failing to bring him on board in July, Babina Noko are apparently preparing an offer which, if successful, could see Makaringe joining them in January next year.
A second source explained: “I think both clubs stand to benefit from this move if it goes through. Sekhukhune will get the player they have wanted for some time now, while Pirates will make some money before he becomes a free agent.”
Neither club has commented on these rumours.
