Tems Dazzles at Dreamville with Style and Soul

Tems made a striking impression at this year’s Dreamville Festival in North Carolina, delivering a performance that blended vocal mastery, bold fashion, and raw emotion.
Taking the stage in a sunset-toned corseted ensemble on Saturday, 5 April, she embodied both elegance and strength, with shimmering glitter catching the stage lights as she moved.
Tems – known privately as Temilade Openiyi – made her set a highlight of the festival’s second day, where she captivated the crowd with stirring renditions of “Higher”, “Damages”, “Crazy Tings”, and “Essence”.
The 29-year-old singer showcased not only her vocal range but also her ability to connect deeply with the audience. From playful moments to teary tributes, the Nigerian star brought both intensity and intimacy.
Openiyi performed selections from across her discography, even performing sections originally sung by collaborators like Brent Faiyaz. As her voice soared, many fans were visibly moved, some even brought to tears.
Despite sharing the weekend bill with giants like Lil Wayne, J. Cole, and Erykah Badu, the songstress stood tall, proving her global appeal and artistic depth.
In a festival known for its star power and genre-blending flair, Openiyi carved out a moment entirely in her own luminous, soulful, and unforgettable way.
